What the semiconductor process asks of a fluid
Two parts of the process set the requirements. In wafer slicing and grinding, the fluid has to cut and grind cleanly, carry away fine silicon swarf, and protect the finish and the tooling without leaving residue. In the equipment that runs the line, the lubricant has to survive vacuum and sustained heat, stay clean, and not outgas into a contamination-sensitive environment. Across both, buyers worry most about contamination and about quality that drifts from batch to batch.
Wafer slicing and grinding
- Wire-saw slicing: the GL glycol series for stable viscosity and steady machining, or the LW oil-based series where abrasive dispersion and adhesion matter more.
- Diamond-wire slicing: the water-soluble SW series, which separates silicon swarf and keeps odor low.

Q2: Do you have high-temperature and PFAS-free lubricants for process equipment?
A: Yes. The HILUBE high-temperature oils (L, LM, LE, MO, R) cover hot chains, bearings, slide rails, and furnace-area equipment, and our PFAS-free line is made for clean, low-outgassing, contamination-sensitive environments such as semiconductor, PCB, and SMT equipment.
Q3: We already have a designated oil. How would HLJH fit in?
A: Send us the spec of your current oil and we will propose an equivalent for you to evaluate, with SDS, TDS, and a sample, so you can compare it against what you run today and decide whether to qualify us as an alternative or backup source. We supply high-spec products at specialty volumes on EXW, FOB, or CIF terms.
Q4: What is the lead time for specialty greases / oils?
A: Some specialty greases / oils are made to order, so once the specification is confirmed, plan on a lead time of about one to two months. Tell us your target date and we will confirm the schedule when we quote.
