Industrial Paraffin Oil Grades
Viscosity P-55 to P-350
Liquid paraffin (white mineral oil) is selected mainly by viscosity grade. HLJH supplies the MORESCO-WHITE series, developed and made in Japan by MORESCO, in viscosity grades from P-55 (light) to P-350 (heavy). All models share the same highly refined white oil chemistry, so selection is simply a matter of matching the viscosity your process needs. The series is used in food, cosmetic, and industrial manufacturing and is verified by Japanese JSQI.
MORESCO-WHITE liquid paraffin series is a highly refined, high-purity white mineral oil developed and made in Japan by MORESCO and supplied in Taiwan by HLJH. It is used directly as a process material or ingredient in food, cosmetic, and industrial manufacturing, not as a bulk base oil for lubricant blending.
Every model shares the same refined chemistry, so the only practical difference is viscosity (cSt at 40°C). Lighter grades such as P-55 and P-70 wet and penetrate; heavier grades such as P-260 and P-350 give more body and film. Model numbers run from the lightest (P-55) to the heaviest (P-350), so selection is straightforward.
Grades and Typical Applications
In the wider market, white oils are commonly classified by pharmacopeia grades such as USP/NF and by food-contact registrations such as NSF H1. However, the MORESCO-WHITE series is not currently positioned as pharmaceutical grade, and EP/USP compliance is not confirmed. Its quality is verified by Japanese JSQI (Japanese Standards of Quasi-drug Ingredients) test data, and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and full product documentation are available on request. Please confirm your regulatory requirement before ordering. MORESCO-WHITE series serves a broad range of uses: food-grade machinery lubrication and produce coatings, cosmetic bases, plasticizers for elastomers and resins, textile oils, compressor oils, and paper and packaging processing.
White Oil vs. Base Oil: A Key Distinction
Liquid paraffin is not a lubricant base oil. Base oils (Group I, II, and III) are commodity feedstocks used to blend finished lubricants, whereas MORESCO-WHITE is a high-purity white oil applied directly in manufacturing processes. HLJH supplies both: whether you need high-purity white oil or bulk base stock for blending, submit the inquiry form and our team will recommend the right product for your application.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: How is paraffin oil packaged and ordered?
A: MORESCO-WHITE series is supplied by weight. Pail sizes are around 15 to 17.7 kg and drums around 172 to 178 kg, depending on the grade. Tell us your grade and required volume for a quotation. SDS, TDS, and COO documents are available on request.
Q2: How do I choose between P-55 and P-350?
A: All models share the same refined white oil chemistry; the difference is viscosity, with numbers running from the lightest (P-55) to the heaviest (P-350). Select by the viscosity your process needs, or send your application and we recommend a model.
